Funeral services were held in the China Spring Baptist Church Monday at 4 p.m. for R. L. (Lump) Talbert, 76, China Spring rancher, who died Sunday at 5:15 a.m. in a Waco hospital after a two-year illness.  Rev. F. C. Funderburk officiated, assisted by Rev. A. J. Holt, burial in China Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Talbert was born in China Spring, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cicero Talbert, pioneer ranchers in that community.

Surviving are his widow; a son, Milton L. Talbert of China Spring; three grandsons; three brothers, Will Talbert and Cam Talbert, both of Route 3, Waco, and Sam Talbert of China Spring; three sisters, Mrs. George Rentz, Route 3, Waco, Mrs. Dave Hill and Mrs. a. M. Humberson,  both of China Spring.
