Mrs. Wayne (Rose) Wells, 49, of China Spring, died Tuesday at a local hospital.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. E. J. Culp and the Rev. Albert Engelke officiating. Burial will be at China Spring Cemetery.

Mrs. Wells was born May 11, 1939 in Gaines County. She attended school in Sweetwater and was married to Wayne A. Wells in November 1973, in Corsicana. She was co-owner and operator with her husband of W.T. Auto Sales in Waco. She was a member of First Church of God in Sweetwater.

Survivors include her husband; her mother, Virginia E. Pruitt Baker of Waco; two daughters, Mrs. James (Judy) Slocum and Cathy Ann Buehler, both of Waco; three sons, Gary Wayne Horton of Waco, Dennis Wayne Wells of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Ronnie Lee Wells of Liberty Hill; two sisters, Zella Mae Cox of Highspire, PA; three brothers, Alton A. Thomas of Waco, Dan Lee Thomas of Corpus Christi and Rodney Baker of Houston; and four grandchildren.
