Funeral services were to be held this afternoon at 5:30 o’clock for Rollins Bob Wofford, 74, pioneer cane syrup manufacturer, who died at his home, 1712 North Fifteenth street, Friday at 4 p.m.

Mr. Wofford, born in Cuero in 1872, became one of the original syrup manufacturers in New Orleans where he resided for 28 years.  Later he served as prsident of the Wofford Syrup company in Houston until the time of his retirement in 1925.  He came to Waco in 1935.

Survivors include his widow, one son, Nat B Wofford, Cameron; five sisters, Mrs. Jessie R. Rathbone of Austin; Mrs. Alec Hamilton, Mrs. Blanche Breeden and Mrs. Mayne Mugge, all three of Cuero; two brothers, John T. Wofford and C. S. Wofford of Cuero.
