Aaron Demetri Woodruff, 18, of China Spring, died Sunday, April 6, 2008.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 614 Oak Grove Loop in China Spring, with the Rev. Larry Felkner officiating. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, at
OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. A memorial video of his life may be viewed during visitation and online at www.oakcrestwaco.com. The family requests that all who attend Aaron’s funeral service to please dress comfortably and casually. Please no ties.

Aaron loved living in China Spring where he was a junior at China Spring High School. He enjoyed playing sports and video games at “The Spring” every Wednesday night with his friends, and was unbeatable at video games. He enjoyed reading, especially Harry Potter books. An avid outdoorsman, he liked to hunt, fish, boat, and hike. The love of his life was his family, especially his younger brother, Jacob.

He is survived by his father, Carl Woodruff and Sharon Shockley, of China Spring; mother, Tammy Felkner Woodruff and fiancé, David Federwisch, of Waco; brother, Jacob, of China Spring; paternal grandparents, Carl and Jantha Woodruff, of China Spring; maternal grandparents, DeWitt and Faye Felkner, of Robinson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members who loved him dearly. In a final act of love, Aaron’s organs were donated to benefit others in need.

Pallbearers will be Josh Haddock, Josh Chambless, Skyler Helms, Devin Gifford, Matt Butler, Chris Moore, Randy Woodruff and Jason Filz. Honorary pallbearers will be Nick Anderson, Ryan Felkner, Jeremy Felkner, T.J. Westbrook, Wesley Moore, Chris Ellis, Jeff Olson and his classmates at China Spring High School.

The family greatly appreciates the outpouring of love and support from the China Spring community during this time.
