Son of: Philbert Woodrow Hobbs and Linda Pauline King Hobbs

Husband to: Tammy Smith Hobbs

 

Jack W. Hobbs, 52, went to be home with the Lord Thursday, September 23, 2021. Visitation: 5 pm to 7 pm Friday, October 1 at Lake Shore Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 3 pm Saturday, October 2 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel . Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery.

Please feel free to dress comfortably for all services as that is what Jack would have wanted.

Jack was born in Waco, Texas to Philbert Woodrow Hobbs, Jr.  and Linda Pauline King Hobbs. He married Tammy J Smith on April 17, 2004 in McLennan County.  Jack was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife – Tammy (Smith) Hobbs; daughter – Lauren Hobbs; granddaughters – Paisley Hobbs and Macie Hobbs; stepdaughter – Brandi Bennett; step granddaughters – Cheyenne Smith and Hannah Mischel; parents – Woody ( Philbert Woodrow) Hobbs, Jr. and Linda (Pauline King) Hobbs; brothers – Keith Hobbs, Dale Hobbs and Jason Hobbs; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his younger brother Bran Hobbs and his grandparents; Philbert W. Hobbs Sr., Eugenia K. Hobbs, Leslie P. King, and Carrie M. King.

He was an accomplished electrician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was employed by Mars Wrigley as a Controls Technician. In his spare time Jack enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as being Poppa to his grandchildren. He will be sorely and truly missed.

The family would like to thank all those that prayed for Jack during his battle with illness. They’d also like to thank Mars Wrigley for their support and kindness during this difficult time.
