Jacky Wallace, 75, of Waco, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Ascension Providence Medical Center in Waco.

Graveside Service: 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, at China Spring Cemetery with Pastor Chris Sammons officiating

Jacky was born July 8, 1945 to Margaret Wallace and Albert Jack Wallace in Dallas. He married the love of his life Darlene Wallace on June 7th, 1964, whom he had met at church. They moved to Waco in 1968 when he became a Trooper for the Texas Department of Public Safety. Jacky retired from the DPS in 1995 and then went to work for McLane Company from 1995 to 2008.

Jacky attended First Baptist Church of Hewitt since 1992 where he served as a Deacon and taught the Explorer men’s Sunday School class.

He loved to play golf, fish, and be with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially their sporting events. He also loved to mow and take care of the yard. He was a good neighbor and friend. He never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Wallace; father, Albert Jack Wallace; and brother, Charles Wallace.

Jacky is survived by his wife, Darlene Wallace; son, Bryan Wallace, and wife, Kay Wallace; daughter, Jacque Baker; sister, Susan Manning; granddaughter, Holly Finley, and husband, Derek Finley; grandson, Colton Baker; granddaughter, Shiloh Blackwood and husband, Nathan Blackwood; granddaughter, Bryanna Orta and husband, Caleb Orta; great-grand-children, Dylan Finley, Ian Finley, and Sage Blackwood; brothers-in-law, Rick Fortner and wife, Gina and Kenneth Fortner and wife, Rhonda; and many nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Explorer Sunday School class at First Baptist Church of Hewitt.
